Features : Strolling through the “town of shoyu (soy sauce)” is the leader ofNoda. You will be guided through the town where you can visitthe majestic buildings, lots and “shikomi-gura” (traditionalpreparatory stock house) with a long history as soy sauceproducers who inherited traditional soy sauce production fromthe Edo period and who, therefore, are still called “Zoka-san(Architects)” by townspeople out of respect. Features : Kururi Castle is a mountain castle built in the Sengoku period(Warring States period that lasted roughly from the mid-15thcentury to the beginning of the 17th century). Kazusa-drill wasdeveloped in the Meiji period in the Kazusa region. The castlelasted for more than 300 years till the Meiji Restoration. AKazusa-drill well is self-pumping and so, you can drink the wellwater even now as “live water.” Kururi is the town of sakebrewing; there are 4 sake breweries in the city.
