Tokyo Electric Power Co., Ltd. East Japan Thermal Power Plant (TEPCO), Futtsu Thermal Power Generating Plant
The Futtsu Thermal Power Generating Plant was put into operation. At present, it is a power plant with 14 Combined Cycle (CC) generation axes and four Advance Combined Cycle (ACC) generation axes having greater thermal efficiency than the Combined Cycle (CC) generation system. A more Advanced Combined Cycle (MACC) power generation system with even higher thermal efficiency is under construction.
A Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) base with ten LNG tanks is annexed to the power plant. LNG is supplied also to other thermal power plants through a high pressure gas pipe.
