The Goi Power Plant was put into operation in 1963 and went through various extension stages after this. At present, the plant has six units, with a total output of 1,.886 MW
The No. 6 Unit had a gas turbine added to it. The high-heat exhaust gas discharged after the turbine has rotated is used as boiler fuel air to boost output so that the plant constitutes an “Exhaust Gas Reheating Type Combined Cycle Power Generating System.”
It should be noted that:To meet the changes in power demand between night- and day-time start-stop operations are repeated almost every day and so this plant plays a very important role as an output-adjustable thermal power supply.
