[1] Saiko Iyashi-no-sato Nemba

This site recreates a community of private dwellings with thatched roofs, a sight which was formerly common all over Japan. It also contains a resource center that provides information on local history and a shop which sells special local products.

[2] Itchiku Kubota Art Museum

This art museum exhibits the works of Itchiku Kubota (1917–2003), a textile-dyeing artist who revived the art of Tsujigahana-zome, a traditional Japanese dyeing technique which had been lost for over 200 years.

[3] Kawaguchi-ko Monkey Performance Theater

Here, visitors can enjoy Sarumawashi (monkey show) which are a traditional Japanese art with 1,000 years of history behind them. The trainer and his monkeys form a good team onstage as the monkeys perform a variety of tricks.

This primeval forest sits atop the lava flow produced by the eruption of Mount Fuji that occurred in the year 864. Also regarded as a precious forest resource for scholars, this forest is heavily wooded with trees that are over 300 years old.

[3] Saiko Wild Bird's Forest Park
