The hygrophyte garden is arranged with ponds in addition to such flowers as Japanese irises and sweet flags around June, and you can enjoy seeing them and strolling.
The park is also arranged with Shiki-no-Mori (forest of four seasons), Asobi-no-Hiroba (playground), and Event-no-Hiroba (Event Square).

The “Tomisato Sheep Farm Monument” is located in the cluster of cedar trees surrounding Jinmu Shrine dedicated to Emperor Jinmu.
Thanks to Toshimichi Okubo, Minister of Home Affairs, who advocated the necessity of modern livestock farming, the Government of Meiji opened Sheep Farm (Shimofusa Bokuyojo), first in Japan, at Tokura and Goryo in Tomisato city, to promote domestic supply of sheep wool, raw material for woolen goods, as part of encouragement of new industry in 1875.
Recognizing the origin of livestock farming and his epochal plan, the monument was erected.

Tomisato city is a famous place for producing watermelons boasting the largest shipment in Japan.
Every watermelon of Tomisato has high sugar content and enjoys a great reputation for its taste.
There is a large statue of cut watermelon in front of the city office of Tomisato city, and you can see a large watermelon “gas tank” from Park No. 2 of Tomisato Second Industrial Complexes, and pickled watermelon and watermelon jelly are specified as local products of Tomisato city.
There are events on watermelon such as Suika Matsuri (watermelon festival) on the third Sunday and Suika Road Race on the fourth Sunday of June every year, and during these days, the city is crowded full of watermelons.
