Chiba City Museum of Art

The Chiba City Museum of Art (CCMA) is known all over the world for its variegated exhibitions and characteristic collections.

Around six exhibitions are being held every year. The museum focuses on artwork falling within the three categories: Artwork connected with the Boso Region; Japanese painting and woodblocks from the Edo period on; and Contemporary artwork.

Artworks from these collections are exhibited by category in order.

The CCMA is well known for its Ukiyoe collection, whose exhibition enjoys great popularity.

Being an urban style museum, the CCMA building incorporates various facilities for civic life such as a public library and its lending space, museum shop, restaurant, and so on.

* 5 minutes’ walk from Yoshikawa Koen Sta., Chiba Urban Monorail for Kencho-mae Station
From Keisei Chiba Chuo Sta., East Exit:
* About 10 minutes’ walk
By Car:
* From Tokyo - Go through Higashi Kanto Expressway (Keiyo Road) to Miyanogi Junction, then go toward Kisarazu and leave the expressway at Kaizuka IC.
After going through the National Road No. 51 about 3 km toward the Chiba urban area, you will find the main street intersection.
The CCMA is located near the intersection. Parking lot is available.
