Museum of Aeronautical Sciences

These are the first facilities in Japan with a variety of documents about aeronautics.

Exhibited here are the full-scale replica of the Henri Farman’ biplane that flew the sky of Japan for the first time and the moving model of Boeing 747-400, a jumbo jet that you can move the flaps of the wings and gears and turn the body of the airplane, feeling like a pilot.

The 1/8-scale moving model is the largest in the world, measuring 10 m in total length and width, respectively.

You can see the panoramic view of the runways of Narita International Airport and airplanes taking off and landing from the observation/exhibition room.

Shibayama-Mizube-no-Sato in the vicinity provides a place comfortable to lounge in.
