Chiba Prefectural Boso no Mura Museum is intended to display traditional lifestyles and tools, preserve and inherit product-making techniques, and allow visitors to find new values and learn the history and culture through exhibits and experience.

There are samurai residences, farm houses, and merchant houses constructed during the period from Edo to Meiji in the Boso region of Chiba Prefecture have been reproduced on the premises. Visitors can wear armor and see the demonstration of many Japanese historical events.
Major items of experience
Visitors can wear armor and Japanese-style clothes and experience or see demonstration of a tea ceremony, soba (buckwheat noodle) making, Japanese candle making, Japanese confectionary making, and many other Japanese traditional cultural events.
* Reservation is necessary on the day for experience. The program differs according to the daily schedule.

Doramu-no Sato
There are restaurants where you can enjoy food made of local foodstuff. Fresh vegetables, specialty products, and traditional craft products are on sale.
 
Fudoki no Oka
There are 78 tomb mounds, including the restored “No.101 Tomb Mound of Ryukakuji Tomb Mound Group,” as well as a museum and cultural-asset structures.
