This first museum of air science in Japan teaches the country’s changes in aviation technology in an interesting manner. Displayed inside the building is a full-sized model of the Henri Farman biplane - the first plane to fly in Japan - and a real aircraft engine. In addition, visitors can have an on-board experience as if a pilot, using a flight simulator.

Shibayama Nio-son Temple [Kannonkyoji Temple]

Kannonkyoji Temple that was founded in 781 has been friendly called Shibayama Nio-son Temple for a long time. It is known for Nio-son guardian images of the temple at Nio-mon (deva gate).

Shibayama Tumulus and Haniwa Museum

The Haniwa Museum exhibits Haniwa (clay image) and archaeological remains from burial mounds unearthed in Chiba Prefecture. You can also take a look on ancestor's life with the old dwelling reconstructed in the museum.
